- QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
- Master and Doctor of (holistic) Theology (Th.M and Th.D): Holos University 2010-
- Emphasis: Transformational Psychology.
- Advanced Certificate in Transpersonal Psychology: Holos University.
- Doctoral research was on effects of the CHI ProcessTM on physiologial coherence and perceptions of wellbeing of trauma-exposed Sri Lankan youth who lost family members in the 2004 tsunami. The CHI Process, a.k.a The Wholeness Exercise is combination of ancient Eastern healing traditions adapted for modern use. Results showed statistically significant improvements in Heart Rate Variability (HRV), Physiological Coherence and Perceptions of Wellbeing while practicing the CHI ProcessTM for 5 minutes. High Physiological Coherence connected to high Heart Rate Variabitlity (HRV) indicates that all body systems are working in a synchronized, harmonious manner, relieving stress, and creating conditions conducive to healing, growth, development and optimum functioning. Future research will explore the scope of the CHI ProcessTM in various conditions and cultural contexts. I am currently observing the effects of the Wholeness Exercise on cancer survivors and caregivers who practice it regularly.
